Mr. James “Jim” Carlyle Hayworth Jr., 66, resident of High Point, died September 12, 2018 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mr. Hayworth was born October 14, 1951 in Guilford County, a son to Charlotte Thurber Hayworth and James Hayworth Sr. A resident of this area all his life, he had attended Conrad Memorial Baptist Church and was self-employed in the metal industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as, watching the Atlanta Braves, Denver Broncos and North Carolina Tar Heels. He also was a U.S. Marine Reserve veteran. In 1971 he married the former Pat Swaim who survives of the residence.
In addition to his wife, he also survived by a daughter, Olivia Hayworth and Brad of High Point; a son, Jason Hayworth and wife Lindsey of San Diego, CA; a sister, Laura Allen and husband Bill of High Point; a brother, David Hayworth and wife Donna of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Logan Hale, Conner Hale, Luke Hayworth and Toby Hayworth.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Loveline c/o High Point Regional Health Foundation, P.O.
