Mr. James (Jim) Andrew Wall, 84, resident of Tanner Ct. in Trinity, died Saturday, May 4, 2019 at High Point Medical Center.
Jim was born August 11, 1934 in Rockingham County, a son to the late Robert L. and Theo Martin Wall. He graduated from Williams High School and later attended Guilford College in Greensboro. Jim began his electronic career with Western Electric and retired from Hubble Industrial Controls. He was an engineer by trade and could build anything. He also loved reading and had a beautiful baritone voice. We will miss him singing in the yard as he cared for his plants. Jim was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Trinity and attended Piedmont Bible Church in Thomasville. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Sink Wall of the residence; four children, Ric Wall and wife Donna of Archdale, Denise Wall and husband Bill McNeer of Thomasville, Lorri Wall and husband Bruce Ciancio of Delaware and Andy Wall and wife Lisa of Marietta, GA; a step-daughter, Lisa Smith and husband Scott of Carolina Shores; two brothers, David Wall and wife Debby of Elon College and John Wall of Greensboro; a sister-in-law, Mary Farlow and husband Don of Trinity; five grandchildren, Lorri Rivas and husband Pablo, Joi Yates and husband Josh, Joey Yow and wife Heather, Victoria Wall and Alexandria Wall; a step-granddaughter, Hannah Smith; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bethel Hill Wall; two sisters, Mary Simpson and Jean Haney; a brother, Robert Wall; and one step-grandson, Caleb Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview United Methodist Church in Trinity with Rev. Barry Whitaker and Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Piedmont Bible Church, 1117 W. Holly Hill Rd. Thomasville, N.C., 27360.
