Jamie (Sugg) Callahan

Mrs. Jamie Sugg Callahan, 59, of Trinity, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Born November 3, 1960, in High Point, Jamie was the daughter of the late Darrell and Barbara Hicks Sugg. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son Brandon Sprouse in May of this year. Jamie enjoyed going to the beach, and watching NASCAR, football and baseball. She was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the Boston Red Sox. Above all else, Jamie cherished time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and riding her Harley with her husband and son.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Reece “Mickey” Callahan; mother, Gayle Sugg; children, Adam Lawson and fiancé, Felicia Henson, Tommy Callahan and wife, Vicki, and Sarah Caroway and husband, Roger; grandchildren, Jase Lawson, Tagen Callahan, Cameron, Jackson, Elizabeth, and Joshua Caroway; and sisters, Sherry McPherson and husband, Jerome, Joanie Jacobs and husband, Jeff, and Sabrina Fisher and husband, Ronnie. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Shannon Walters (Jeremy), Kyle McPherson (Kim), Arron McPherson (Stacy), Barbara Koontz (Doug), Chase Fisher, and Luke Fisher; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15th, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, officiated by Rev. Mackie Walters. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, Dec. 14th, from 6 until 8 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
