Jan Montgomery

Jan Bennett Montgomery, age 63, wife of Kenneth Lee Montgomery, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Born and raised in Tyro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Randolph and Joyce Davis Bennett. Mrs. Montgomery retired from Davidson County Schools following 30 years as a bus driver and was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church. She loved spending time at the mountains and at the beach. Mrs. Montgomery enjoyed riding horses and working with plants and greenhouses. She was a proud Parrot Head.

In addition to her husband of 38 years, Mrs. Montgomery is survived by two daughters, Ashley Montgomery (Wesley Carter) and Kristin Montgomery (John Edwards); a granddaughter, Eleanor Rose Carter; a sister, Sandra Lane (Mark); and two nieces, Kelly Lane Ridenour and Laura Lane Seagraves.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Springhill United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Benjamin Free with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the church prior to the service.
