Janet Woody Rogers

Janet Woody Rogers pass peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on February 6, 2018.  Janet was a native of Roxboro, NC before she moved to Brookdale North of High Point in October 2017 and passed away under the care of High Point Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Woody and Louise Rogers and her “very special brother” Jay Rogers.

Janet is survived by her sisters; Helen R. Lankford and husband, Mike of High Point and Kathryn “Kay” D. Roger of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by the “loves of her life” nieces Kacie Snelling and husband, Will and Beth Chriscoe and husband, Matt.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt.  Her most prized role was that of Great Aunt to her five nephews and one niece; Ford, Sam and Henry Snelling, Harrison, Davis and Maggie Chriscoe.

She was a former employee of Hatteras Yacht, Addams Bookstore and ended her career with Better Cable Systems in Roxboro, NC.  Her commitment to her employers was one of her greatest assets.

Janet was a friend to many and always appreciated anything others did for her.  She had a generous heart and received great joy when she could do something for or reach out to help others.

The family would like to give special recognition and thanks to special friends, Hospice and the staff of Brookdale North who ministered to her care over the past nine months.  Their presence in her life was a special gift.

A memorial service to honor her life will be at 11:00am on Monday February 12, 2018 at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral service, 1015 Eastchester Drive in High Point with Chaplain Craig Walker officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Duke Hospice and Homecare, 4321 Medical Park Drive #101, Durham, North Carolina 27704 or Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, North Carolina 27262.
