Janice Helms-McCann

HIGH POINT-Janice Helms- McCann, 67, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017.

She was born on April 11, 1950 in High Point to late Hayne and Marie Seymour Helms. A resident of this area all of her life, she was a 1968 graduate of Allen Jay High School.  She worked for North State Communications, and she retired after 35 years of service. Janice enjoyed reading, dancing and watching the Hallmark channel. Her true love and passion were her cats and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt and will be dearly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her husband, Michael McCann; her daughter, Michelle Clark and her husband Shawn; her sister, Pam Embler, and her grandchildren, Maddy, Ashlee and Lukus.  Also surviving are her nieces, Kelly McDuffie and her husband John and Shelly Figgatt and her husband Patrick; her great nieces, Anna and Kathryn, and her great nephew, Alex.

A service to celebrate Janice’s life will be held on Saturday, December 9, at 2 pm, in the Chapel at Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Pastor Roger Carmichael officiating. Her family will receive friends Friday, December 8, from 5:30 until 7:30 pm, at Cumby family Funeral Service, Archdale.
