WAKE FOREST – Jean Carolyn Palmer Yarborough, 91, died Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Carillon Assisted Living of Wake Forest.
She was born May 11, 1927, in High Point and was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Nannie Smith Palmer. She was a member of Green Street Baptist Church for many years and a retired swatcher with Acme Samples.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on November 25, 2017, Robert Dwight Yarborough; a daughter, Brenda Foley; four sisters, Charlotte Womble , Irene Smith, Pearl McAllister, and Gladys Zelzak; and two brothers, Richard Palmer and Sylvan Palmer.
Jean is survived by two daughters, Gwen Bullard of Indiana and Barbara Osborne and her husband, David, of Wake Forest; three grandchildren, Todd Foley, Raine Osborne and his wife, Jackie, and Meredith Wright and her husband, Brent; and six great-grandchildren, Connor Wright, Carson Wright, Kaitlyn Wright, Ethan Osborne, Caroline Foley, and Emma Osborne.
Graveside service celebrating Jean’s life will be held at 11:00 Friday, August 3, 2018, at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Rhynerson officiating. The family will speak to friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
