Mr. Jerry Reece Daniels, 82, resident of Trinity, passed away on February 22, 2021 at his home.
He was born on December 28, 1938 in Guilford County to the late Birley and Myrtle Williams Daniels. A resident of this area all his life, Jerry graduated from Allen Jay High School and attended both Campbell University and High Point University. He enjoyed classic cars as well as hunting, fishing, and boating at the beach. He contributed to his community as a loyal member of Green Street Baptist Church, a successful owner and operator of High Point Bedding Incorporated, and a long-time Trinity City Councilman. He was also a proud supporter of the military and served in the Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Susan (Albertson) Daniels, whom he married on August 20, 1966. He is also survived by his daughter, Stephanie Nicole Daniels, and his grandson, Johnathan Reid Mendenhall, both of Trinity. Jerry will always be remembered as a savvy businessman with a sharp sense of humor who loved good food.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held on Sunday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Frank Hensley officiating. The interment will follow at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Trinity. Friends are invited to reach out to the family in the coming days and share their memories of Jerry.
