Jerry Richard Joyce

Mr. Jerry Richard Joyce, 76, resident of Archdale, died April 22, 2021 at High Point Medical Center.

He was born November 5, 1944 in Montgomery County, a son to the late Tommy R. and Verna Davis Joyce.  Jerry was a resident of this area 48 years and had attended Bethel Baptist Church in High Point.  He worked first as a self-employed truck driver and later operated his own woodworking business.  In 1972, he married the former Catherine “Cathy” Hill who survives of the residence.

Also surviving are two sisters, Rachael Hancock and Lula Jane Latham both of Seagrove; and a brother, David Joyce of Asheboro.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, at Bethel Baptist Church in High Point with Pastor Roy Green officiating.  The interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. prior to the service Tuesday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Bethel Baptist Church, 1352 Cox Ave. High Point, NC, 27263.
