Jerry Lee Snyder born March 3, 1940 of Jamestown, NC, took his final flight June 3, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Walls Snyder, two daughters LeAnn (Allen) Henkel of Trinity, NC and Deana (Edward) Gramling of Pembroke Pines, Fl. Three grandchildren, Blake Henkel, Thomas Gramling, and Madeline Gramling, as well as loving extended family and friends.
He began his career in the United States Marine Corps, later serving as a reserve police officer for the High Point Police Department. He spent 42 years as a commercial pilot. After retirement he was an active member of the Jamestown Veterans Memorial Committee and The Marine Corps League #260 of Greensboro.
He was preceded by parents Kerney Jefferson and Nellie Ingram Snyder.
A celebration of life Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 9, 2018 at The Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262. Visitation will be held from 2pm-4pm with the Memorial Service following at 4pm.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Jamestown Veterans Committee and the Marine Corps League.
