Jimmie S. Cain

SOPHIA-Jimmie S. Cain, 83, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020. He was born on February 2, 1936 in Guilford County, to the late Connie and Gertrude Lewallen Cain. A resident of this area most of his life, he was a veteran of the US Navy, serving for 12 years, and retired from Carolina Freight, as a road driver He later established a Upholstery business, and operated it, as long as his health permitted. Jimmie enjoyed music and in his earlier years had played the violin for the Jimmy Dean Band. He was a member of Allen Graham Masonic Lodge 695 in Kannapolis and was a Shriner. He also was a member of the Archdale VFW Post 9899 Auxiliary. He was a loving husband, step father, brother and grandfather, and he will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death was a brothers, Bill Cain, Glenn Cain, Gayle Cain and his sister, Betsy Mae Prosser.

He is survived by his wife of 24 plus years; Rose White Cain, his step sons, Marc Jones and his wife, Beth, Jeff White and his wife, Heather; his brother, Jerry Cain and his wife, Kathy; his sister, Judy Hester and her husband, Ray. Also surviving grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
