Jimmy Ray Key

Jimmy Ray Key, 73, passed away July 14, 2017.  He was born December 1, 1943, in High Point, to the late Marvin and Elsie Key.  Jimmy was employed as a Cloth Cutter with Jack Cartwright Furniture for 38 years, retiring in 2007.  He enjoyed watching westerns, fishing and gardening.  A loving, father, grandfather and uncle, he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Richard Jarrell; grandson, Brandon Jarrell; nephews, Johnny and Jimmy Smith and Jerry Gilland; and nieces, Mandy, Judy and Gina Gilland.  In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Key; sisters, Bonnie Smith and Shirley Gilland; and niece, Lisa Gilland.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
