John Clark Deets

John Clark Deets left to be in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 7, 2017.  He was 57 years old and resided in High Point.  John was born September 5, 1960 in Spencer Iowa.  He was preceded in death by his parents William Myles Deets, Sr. and Jacqueline Joy Deets, as well as his brother Frank Deets.

John Leaves behind a wife (Brenda Shealey Deets) of the home, daughter (Melanie Jean Deets) of Greensboro, NC, two grandchildren Madison and Mason, brother William Myles Deets II (Janet) of Carriere, Mississippi, a host of friends, extended family and three canine companions.

John was employed by Cox’s Harley Davidson in Asheboro, where he was a service technician for three years.  Prior to that, John was part-owner of Ultimix Records/Carolina Rhythms in Greensboro for over fifteen years.

John was an avid motorcycle, camping and boating enthusiast.  In his later years, he was active in canine rescue.

John was a friend to many and could brighten a room with his smile and infectious personality.  He enjoyed entertaining his friends with numerous stories and jokes.  His laughter will be missed.

A celebration of John’s life  will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 17th at the First Baptist Church of High Point, NC,  405 North Main Street.  The family will greet friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC  27262.  Arrangements by Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.  Quotation “Love knows no boundaries, it flourishes and remains forever”
