John Rodney Gray

John Rodney Gray, age 60, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Born in Staten Island, New York, he was a son of Audrey Gann Gray and the late Charles W. Gray. John was a United States Marine Corps Veteran.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by a sister, Annette Ward Purvis (Timothy Hill); Jonathan Henshaw, who was loved and raised as a son by John. John, along with his business partner and best friend, Jennifer Perry, owned the Ancient Combat Enthusiast School, where John was Fight Master. He was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Anthony “Tony” Ward; and a sister, Margaret Earlene Ward.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ancient Combat Enthusiacs School.
