Joseph M. Pierro

Joseph M. Pierro, 74, passed away November 2, 2018.  He was born December 2, 1943, in Queens, NY, to the late Vincent and Teresa Pierro.  Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Stroheim and Roman as a warehouse manager.  He had a love of trains, model cars and enjoyed displaying his Dickens Village for family and friends.  Joe was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.  A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Pierro; daughter and her husband, Michelle and Eric Sonntag; and granddaughter, Elise Sonntag.  In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his first cousins, Linda and Bobby.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Dr, High Point.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2203 W. Market St, Greensboro, with Father Paul Buchanan officiating.  Entombment will follow at Floral Garden Park Mausoleum in High Point.
