High Point – Joseph Howard Rauen

Joe was born on December 28, 1949 and went to meet his Lord on January 7, 2020.  Joe was the son of Elizabeth Holtman Rauen and the late Robert Rauen.

Devoted husband of Laurie Scheper Rauen and loving father of Andrew (Patti), Matthew (Heidi), Jonathan, Timothy (Jodi) and Nicholas (Deborah).  Joe cherished his role as grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Dear brother of Martha, Emily, Peggy, Connie and Kathy.  Also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe’s career was in sales; early on in Real Estate, then in Commercial Fleet Truck Sales for General Motors. He was active in community organizations including, St. Antoninus Athletic Club where he served as president. 

He loved pleasing people and was a friend to many.  He enjoyed fishing and playing golf.  He spent many hours listening to “Red’s” baseball games. We shall never forget his generous smile and kind heart.

A memorial Mass for Joe will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 25, 2020 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances designated to St. Augustine Church at 1839 Euclid Avenue, Covington, Kentucky 41014.  Share your condolences at www.cumbyfuneral.com.
