Josiah Reid Lake

Archdale- Josiah Reid Lake, 2, son of Cecil and Amanda Winfrey Lake, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

He was born in Winston-Salem on September 9, 2018, and lived life to the fullest as long as his health permitted. He and his family attended Wendover Hills Wesleyan Church in Jamestown, where he enjoyed the music program, and just being in everyone’s presence. Outside of the church, he enjoyed trips with his family; especially to Disney World, and he loved Maui from Moana singing, and the story of Doc McStuffins. He also enjoyed his brother, Levi, getting in trouble.  He was a loving son, brother, grandson and nephew and will be missed dearly, but we will all see him again in heaven one day. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anderson; his paternal great grandparents, Nancy Lake, Cecil French and Mae French and his maternal great grandfathers, Roy Winfrey and Esker Key.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Trent and Levi; his maternal grandparents; Phyllis Shelton and Tim Winfrey; his paternal grandparents, Monte and Gina Lake; his maternal great grandmothers; Melba Key and Doris Winfrey and his uncles, Roby Lake and Cameron Winfrey.

A service to celebrate Josiah’s life will be private.
