Wanda Joyner, 80, long time resident of High Point, died on October 12, 2021 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in High Point.

She was born on December 29, 1940 in Siler City, NC to Clem and Bronna Dunlap.

Wanda worked at High Point Lanes, Marsh Kitchen Cabinets and Marlowe-Van Loan. She was an avid bowler in her younger days and was known to be an excellent cook and baker. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and was well liked by the staff at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility in Jamestown, NC, where she resided for the last two years after her health started declining.

Surviving is her son, Mark Joyner (wife Susan); daughter, Amy Smith (husband Bud); brothers, C.B. Dunlap (wife Geneva) and Joe Dunlap; brothers-in-law, Kaney Joyner and Elmer Joyner (wife Becky); sister-in-law, Evelyn Joyner; grandchildren, Melanie Gerou (husband Michael) and Trevor Smith; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, C.E. Joyner; and her brother, Carl Dunlap.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
