Judy (Davis) Kallam

On Wednesday June 14, 2017 Judy Davis Kallam, 57 gained her angel wings surrounded by her family.

Judy was born on January 21, 1960 in High Point, NC to Donna Welborn Davis and the late Robert “Slappy” Davis.

She grew up and raised her children in Cedar Square, which is a piece of heaven right outside of Randleman, NC. She was a member of Cedar Square Friends Meeting where she has served as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth volunteer, and piano/organ player for years. She loved to travel and had many hobbies and crafts that are valued dearly by her family. She loved to volunteer teaching children how to swim and enjoyed line dancing and beach music with her husband, Dennis. She always took care of others before herself, which is not surprising that her career was in nursing.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert “Slappy” Davis. She is survived by her mother, Donna Welborn Davis, husband, Dennis Kallam Sr. and children Dennis Kallam Jr., Kimberly Trask and husband Adam, son Taft Kallam, and daughter Katherine Kallam. Her grandchildren include, Gracie, Garrett, Ethan, Noah, and Kallam. Her siblings are Ryan Davis Sr. and wife Toni, Teresa Bowers and husband Jerry, Jill Andrews and husband David. Nieces and Nephews include Donita Koehler, Ryan Davis Jr, Robert and Heath Andrews, she has many great nieces and nephews and other family friends that were very special to her.

A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at Cedar Square Friends Meeting, officiated by Pastor Mike Butler and Ben Hurley, Retired Quaker Minster. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
