June Teresa DeVriend

June Teresa DeVriend, age 91, widow of the late Gustave DeVriend, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Born in Burlington, Vermont, she was a daughter of the late Bessie Hebert. Mrs. DeVriend was a home maker, a hairdresser, and a dedicated volunteer with the American Red Cross. She was very creative and artistic and loved to sew. She loved animals and enjoyed travelling.

Mrs. DeVriend is survived by a son, David DeVriend (Debbie); a daughter, Donna Guhr (Keith); five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Kenny Hebert (Christine); and two sisters, Charlotte Bassett and Marge Cross.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 with burial to follow in Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service.
