Karen Sue (Stainback) Philbin

Karen Sue “GiGi” Stainback Philbin, age 78, widow of the late Bernard William Philbin, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021.

Born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Noel Stainback and Betty Hill Anderson. Mrs. Philbin was a retired financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial. She loved golfing, playing cards, and the beach. She lived one day at a time.

Mrs. Philbin is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Philbin Dehart (Gene); a son, Bill Philbin (Stephanie); seven grandchildren, Shelby Sloan Fowler (Marcus Jones), Colin Rayce Fowler, Corbin Miles Fowler, Madison Grayce Dehart, Callie Philbin, Taylor Philbin, and Cole Philbin; a great grandchild, Khizzie Joelle Jones; and her best friend, Pam Houck. She was predeceased by a sister, Pat Stainback; and a great grandchild, Benson Royce Jones.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at The Club, Inc., 1301 West English Road, High Point, NC 27262.
