Sue Butler
High Point – Kathleen Sue Butler, 71, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center.
Sue was born December 20, 1947, to Rady Hodgin Butler and Thomas Duncan Butler. She grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Ragsdale High School in 1966. Sue was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church. She worked 35 years for Bell South in Greensboro and later in Charlotte. After retirement, she returned home to be with her family.
Sue was the most loving sister, aunt and great aunt anyone could ever ask for. She took joy in spoiling her nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was by far the favorite aunt. Sue always planned our family get togethers and family beach trips. All we had to do was show up and bring whatever we were assigned. Sue loved her family and would do anything for them. Her family loved her and she will be remembered for her caring heart.
Sue is survived by five siblings, Linda Richardson, Jean Peters and husband, Jim, Thomas Butler, Faye Strickland and husband, Wayne, and Nancy Butler; nieces, Lynn Alexander (Reggie), Janet Lashley (Eddie), Annette Justice (Chris), and Misty Nall; nephews, Chuck Woolard (Kerri), and Eric Butler (Tanya); great nieces Savannah, Sydney, Juliet, Elena, Jillian, and Shelby; and great nephews, Zachary, Austin, Nicholas, Steven, James, Ireland, Baron, Matthew, and Michael.
Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7th in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, officiated by Rev. Tim James. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be made to the American Cancer Society, 7027 Albert Pick Rd., Greensboro, NC 27409.
