Kathryn "Kat" (Leonard) Lawson

Kathryn “Kat” Lawson, 90, of High Point passed away on April 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Kat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She loved her family and friends very much. She was an avid card player and an outstanding golfer. Kat attended High Point College, was a charter member of Emerywood Baptist Church, was President of The Piedmont Golf Association and Vice President of The NC State Golf Association and The Carolinas Golf Association. She enjoyed volunteering at High Point Regional Hospital and spending time with her friends at Gin and Bridge Club. Kat was a loving soul, who will be missed by many, she delighted in spending time with her family and friends. Her life was filled with laughter and love.

Surviving are her husband Glad Lawson of the home; daughter, Kathy Frazier and husband Tommy; and son, Ron Lawson. Her 6 grandchildren Kelly Amos and husband Charles, Andrew Smith and wife Katie, Michael Lawson and wife Jennifer, Jamie Wilkins and husband Stuart, Daniel Lawson, and Olivia Lawson. Her 9 great grandchildren Katie, Dylan, Sawyer, Lily, Charlie, Caroline, Jackson, Noah, and Caden. Kat also had a great great grandson, Alexander. She was preceded by her parents Daniel and Gladys Leonard of Arcadia, her daughter Libby, and her son Don; as well as her brothers Odell and Clayton Leonard.
