Kathy Jean (Davis) Phillips

TRINITY – Kathy Jean Davis Phillips, 67, died Monday, October 19, 2020, at High Point Medical Center.

She was born December 13, 1952, in Yancey County and was the daughter of the late Brack and Frances McPeters Davis. She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Kathy was a member of Midway Baptist Church in Jamestown and loved Jesus and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Dawn Stanford; and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Grasham McPeter and Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Davis.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Teddy E. Phillips, whom she married on November 6, 1971; granddaughter, LeAnna Dawn Stanford of the home; sister, Karen Harris (Sid) of Rutledge, Tennessee; brother, Rex Davis (Pat) of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Midway Baptist Church with Pastors Charles Mustian and Richard Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family receive friends from 10:00 to 10:50 AM Thursday at the church prior to the service.
