ARCHDALE – Kelly Jack “Johnny” Swift, Jr., 67, died Monday, January 7, 2019, at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Center.
He was born December 27, 1951, in Surry County and was the son of the late Kelly Jack and Betty Millikan Swift. He was a resident of Archdale for most of his life prior to relocating to Black Mountain.
Johnny is survived by three sisters, Rebecca Luffman of Roaring River, Linda Steelman (Brent) of Hamptonville, and Abbie Norris (Randy) of Fort Myers, Florida; two brothers, Randy Swift (Joan) of High Point and Arron Swift (Susan) of Sophia; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service celebrating Johnny’s life will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2019, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. The family will receive friends from 2:45 to 3:45 PM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Gum Orchard Church Cemetery in Elkin.
