Kenneth Wesley Easter, Jr.

Bonifay, FL – Mr. Kenneth Wesley Easter, Jr, 71, formerly of High Point, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

Born July 31, 1948, in High Point, NC, Kenny was the son of the late Kenneth Wesley Easter, Sr. and Jewel McAllister Easter. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Dean Easter. Kenny was a veteran of the US Army, having served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He received a Combat Purple Heart and several other medals and commendations. Following his time in the military, Kenny received a degree in hotel management and managed several high end properties. He then started a successful business before retiring to his dream home in Florida where he enjoyed fishing on the dock of his lake and riding his Harley without a helmet.

Kenny is survived by two children, Kimberly Nicole Easter and Kelsey Turner Easter and their mother, his former wife, Mandy Easter; a step-daughter, Kristen Carey Pantelis; and his brother, Jeffrey Glen Easter and wife, Lesley. He is also survived by his extended family of aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A gathering to celebrate Kenny’s life will be held Monday evening, February 17th, from 6 until 8 in the Life Tribute Center of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. A memorial graveside service with full military honors will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
