Mr. Kenneth Brevard Honeycutt, 73, resident of Trinity, died August 17, 2019 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Mr. Honeycutt was born October 11, 1945 in High Point, a son to the late Edgar and Mildred Knox Honeycutt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring as a chief warrant officer after twenty two years of service. He also was retired from the City of High Point and had previously worked at UNCG and NAPA. In 1991, he married the former Gail Bailey who survives of the residence.
Also surviving is a daughter, Amy Phillips and husband Gene of Long Island, New York; a son, Cliff Faulkner of High Point, North Carolina; a sister, Ginger Carr and husband Don of Gate City, Florida; and three granddaughters, Mindy, Sabrina and Skyler Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Hastings and Betty Pearson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Rev. Steve Sparks and Rev. Carl Pulliam officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
