Lanice (Warf) Honaker

Mrs. Lanice Dawn Warf Honaker, 73, resident of Archdale, went home to be with the Lord April 14, 2024.

She was born October 22, 1950, in Washington County, Virginia, a daughter to the late Letcher and Mable Litton Warf. A resident of this area since 1969, she worked in the trucking industry for many years as an OSD clerk and later in the banking industry as a collection clerk. She was a member of Southgate Baptist Church in Thomasville. In 1971, she married Sammy Dallas Honaker. Together they enjoyed 53 wonderful years of marriage, remaining side-by-side until the very end.

In addition to her husband, Lanice is survived by two daughters, Samantha Turner (Allan) of Kernersville and Celina Muckenfuss (Terry) New Braunfels, TX; three grandsons, Jacob Turner, Aiden Muckenfuss and Jude Muckenfuss; two sisters, Dru Morris of Morganton and Kay Abernathy (Chuck) of Valdese. She shared a very special relationship with Sammy‘s siblings, Fredia Bennett, Maisie Sluss, Bonnie Davis and the late James Honaker Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Warf; and four sisters, Darleen Eades, Dorcas McMurray, Dreama Spence, and Debbie Blankenship. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.

To celebrate her life a service will be held at Southgate Baptist Church in Thomasville on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 11:30. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Graybrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their love and care in her final days.
