ARCHDALE- Larry E. Gibson, 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 11th, 2018.
He was born on September 20, 1950 in High Point, to the late Willie and Mary Laughlin Gibson. A resident of this area all his life, he was a proud veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea, and was a retired Bail Bondsman. He attended New Life Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed music; especially playing his guitar and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be dearly missed. On August 8th, 1970, he was married to the former Linda Cox, she survives of the home.
Also surviving are his daughters, Gina Gibson Brown and her husband, Craig, Ashley Gibson Shepherd and her husband, Shawn; his grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Luke Brown, Samarah Shepherd and his great granddaughter, Braelynn Fargis.
A service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held on Monday afternoon, October 15th, at 2 o’clock, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale, with Pastor Michael Mabe officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard. His family will receive friends on Monday afternoon, from 12:45 until 1:45, at the funeral home.
