Mr. Larry Lee Johnson, 87, of High Point, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, at High Point Regional Hospital.
Born January 6, 1931, in Guilford County, Larry was the son of the late Atlas and Brookie Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Cynthia Annette. He was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church in High Point. He was passionate about music and loved playing the guitar and singing. Larry was the type of person who never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia White Johnson; three children, Michael Lee Johnson and wife, Lynn, Dianne Mills and husband, Charlie, and Angela Johnson Cheves; six grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Chuck Mills, Heather Swaim, Cody Mills, Ty Cheves and Alex Cheves; five great granddaughters, Maely, Kinley, Kambry, Ruby, and Callie; a brother, Darrell Johnson; and a sister, Linda Grubb.
Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Bobby Loving.
