Larry Lee Hall

TRINITY – Larry Lee Hall, 70, went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at his residence.

He was born June 8, 1949, in Roanoke, Virginia, and was the son of the late George W. and Mary Overfelt Hall. He was a retired truck driver from Estes Trucking Company and worked many years with Flowers Baking Company. Larry was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw. He was a faithful member of Pilot View Baptist Church in Thomasville.  He was an avid train buff who collected, watched and visited anything train related. He was known by his trucking buddies and others as “ChooChoo.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Doris Jones; brothers, Richard, Don and Tommie Hall; and nephew, Bruce Hall.

Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hilda “Jean” Hylton Hall; two sons, Larry Wayne Hall and Mark Lee Hall, all of Trinity; three grandchildren, Aaron Lee Hall of Trinity, Justin Lee Hall of Denton, and Rebecca Turner of Asheboro; sister, Lois Kennedy and husband, Lester of Radford, Virginia; and two special ladies whom he called his daughters, Andrea Adkins and husband, Bobby, of Wallburg and Lisa Turner of Denton.

Funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2020, at Pilot View Baptist Church in Thomasville with Pastors Bob Summers and Gary Green officiating.  Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:45 to 12:45 Friday at the church prior to the service.
