Larry Gene Morris, 73, died September 11, 2021 at Thomasville Medical Center following a period of declining health. Born November 4, 1947 in Leakesville, NC, he is a son of the late Robert and Evelyn Morris. Larry’s family later moved to High Point where he attended High Point City Schools. He worked in the furniture industry for over 30 years with honors and a perfect attendance record. He was a member of the Intercontinential Church of God in High Point. Larry was easy going, funny and quick witted. and always wanted to help his follow man. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley and Tommy Morris and sisters Pauline Morris and Kay Small.
Larry is survived by his wife, Judy Morris of Thomasville, and stepson Scotty Shepherd (Arlene) of Randleman, step granddaughter Tiffany Shepherd Coats (Eric) of Statesville and great granddaughter Kaitlyn Coats. He is also survived by sisters Patsy (Pat) Robbins of Thomasville, Wanda (Alan) Wakeman of Pinehurst, Norma (Wayne) Cantrell of Winston-Salem, Sandra Morris of High Point and LaJuana (Michael) Little of Trinity, brothers-in-law Franklin Zebedee Wilson, III (Kristen) of Kernersville and Alan Wilson of High Point.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Larry Gene Morris will be held 1:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale. The family will greet friends following the service.
