Larry Wayne Welch Sr.

Mr. Larry Wayne Welch Sr., 62, resident of Cedar Square, died May 18, 2020 at his home.

He was born November 21, 1957 in Guilford County.  As a resident of this area all his life, he owned Larry’s Western Supply, Triad Livestock Arena, and also worked as an independent auctioneer.  He was a loving father, brother and grandfather who will be missed dearly by his family.

Surviving are three sons, Larry Welch Jr. of Randleman, Steven Welch and wife Maegan of Sophia, and Zachary Welch of Asheboro; two sisters, Judy Faircloth of Archdale and Brenda Stanley and husband Terry of Archdale; two brothers, Tommy Welch and wife Vickie of Sophia and Gary Welch of Candor; and five grandchildren, Hagen, Weston, Emma, Larson and Adalia Welch.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Grace Welch Lewis; and a brother, Ronald L. Welch.

A private family graveside service will be held Thursday at Randolph Memorial Park Cemetery in Asheboro.  Mr. Welch will lie in state from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale for anyone who would like to pay their respects.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Dr. Asheboro, N.C. 27203.
