I just learned about Sister Rook's passing. Bro. & Sis. Rook were great influences in my life and I will be eternally grateful. Heaven is certainly richer with their passing. My Mom passed in 2012 and tears of joy flow when I think of them reminiscing together. They are all with their Savior whom they adored! Sis. Rook's voice still rings in my ears. I know she has joined that heavenly choir. I am sorry for your loss, Bill & Jennifer. I wish I could be there to hug you both. I love you both and am praying that God will give you His peace during this time. ~Vickie

Many good memories of Bill and Laverne. So sorry to hear today of her passing. Daddy still has a set of bathroom scales in his bathroom that were given to he and mom by Bro. C. C. Brown, Laverne's father! May God be very near and comfort you in your sorrow!

Our condolences to this beautiful family. The Brown's were our first pastor in the 1950's in High Point, NC. I have found memories of all this family. I remember when Laverne and Bill were dating, Lorene was my birthday buddy (July 8th) and my Sunday school teacher, Delores an airline hostess, and clon chasing me around the church, the special celebrations with Pastor and Mrs. Brown. By the way, I was 5 years old at the time.....You may not remember me, but you made an impression on me. Precious memories, too.
May God comfort you during this time of sorrow and know that Laverne is remembered with love from someone who remembers that she loved the Lord and lived for Him..
