Tribute

Lom Xayavong Keodouangdy, a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2018 in High Point, NC. She was born on June 12, 1947.

In the 1960s, she worked as an Administrative within the Laotian Army during the Vietnam War. Lom was a strong and fearless woman. In the 1970s, she escaped the warfare in Laos, dodging bullets, with no husband, just her, a young child, a toddler, and a small baby in a small wooden boat, crossing the Mekong River to Thailand where she resided in a refugee camp for 1.5 years. She then immigrated to the United States of America in the 1980s.

Lom lost her husband just a little over a year ago. She is survived by her 4 children, Boomie, Ratsamy, Ravy, and Lucy; Her son in laws Cornell, Robert, and Shawn; Her daughter in law Vieng; Her grandchildren Nikita, Justin, Angel, Langdon, Makai, Maddox, and Manning; and also her 5 siblings.

Lom was a very kind, caring, and compassionate woman who loved to helped others so long as she was able to. Lom and Her husband Tony loved to travel and take long drives from state to state together. They also shared a passion for the casino.
