Lona Lee (Dunigan) Vestal

Mrs. Lona Lee Dunigan Vestal, 80, of Archdale, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at her residence.

Born February 26, 1937, in High Point, Lona was the daughter of the late Charles Walker Dunigan and Annie Rebecca McCarter Dunigan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Lee Vestal, Jr., and four siblings. She was retired from U.S. Furniture.

Lona is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Lee Vestal; daughter, Kathryn Weeks and husband, Jerry; five grandsons, Jody Greene (Kelly), Jason Greene (Brandy), Jonathan Weeks (Geni), Caleb Vestal and Jeremy Weeks; four great grandchildren, Cameron, Haley, Brody, and Jayce; and two sisters, Barbara Ray and Geraldine Bingham.

Funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Welch Memorial United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Ben Rowe. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 until 8 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
