Malcolm Bruister Mathieson

High Point—Mr. Malcolm Bruister Mathieson Sr., died at his home December 01, 2017. He was born in Canton, Ohio to the late Robert J. and Evelyn Blickenderfer Mathieson. Malcolm was a WWII United States Army Air Corp Veteran serving in Fighter Pilot Training at wars end. He later graduated from the University of Alabama as a Mechanical Engineer. During his career he served as an Assistant Project Engineer for Pratt Whitney in the Space Program, and as VP of Engineering for Thomasville Buses for more than a dozen years.
Survivors include his three sons Malcolm Mathieson Jr, of Durham NC, Marshall Mathieson, and Michael Mathieson both of High Point; one sister Colleen Mathieson of California.
A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday December 7, 2017 at Westchester Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Peacock officiating.
