Margia (Hancock) Rogers

Margia Hancock Rogers, 104, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018, in Montverde, Florida.

She was born December 1, 1913, in Ansonville, NC, and was the daughter of the late James D. and Grace Threadgill Hancock.  Margia was a devoted homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Montverde.  She has resided in South Lake County since 1997, previously living in Sanford, FL.  Margia was also a longtime resident of both High Point and Miami, FL.  She was an avid Miami Dolphin fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2002, Richard Fenton Rogers; and a daughter, Brenda Fenton Rogers in 1976.

Margia is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Jon) Hudson of Montverde, FL; four grandchildren, Scott (Teresa) Cone, Sandra (Mark) Cody, Michael (Gwendolyn) Cone and Leslie Cone; two great-grandchildren, William and Grace.

Services will be private.
