Marilyn Joyce Sumner Hayworth, 85 of High Point died Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Hospice Home at High Point. Born February 18, 1933 in Scottsboro, Alabama, she is a daughter of the late John W. and Faustine Stagner Sumner. She was married on August 13, 1955 to Thomas E. Hayworth. Mrs. Hayworth was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church and retired from Colonial Motor Freight after 35 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Muriel Bowers and husband Bradley Bowers.
Mrs. Hayworth is survived by her husband Thomas E. Hayworth of the home and one son, Thomas Lee Hayworth of High Point.
Graveside services for Mrs. Hayworth will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.
