Marjorie Heatherly (Heatherly) Jennings

Marjorie Heatherly Jennings, age 82, passed away July 11, 2017.  She was born in La Follete, TN on August 25, 1934 and lived in High Point for most of her life. Marjorie obtained her nursing degree from the East Tennessee Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Knoxville, TN. She spent most of her professional career at High Point Regional Hospital, primarily working in orthopedics. She excelled in her work, not only assisting those in need, but also acting as a mentor to younger nurses gaining experience under her watch.

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Henry Jennings; brother, Emerson Heatherly of High Point; grandchildren Michael and Sara Parker and son-in-law Robbie Parker, all of Memphis, TN; daughter-in-law Theresa Jennings, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her children, Frances J. Parker and Steven Jennings; two brothers Carl Heatherly and Wayne Heatherly; one sister Faye Arnold.

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, July 15 from 12-1 PM with memorial service immediately following, both at Cumby Funeral Home, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
