Marty played football in jr high and I kept his stats. He was a great player and a great teammate and a great friend. My condolences to his family for their loss.

My condolences to all of Marty's family. Had the pleasure of coaching him in youth baseball years ago. He was a fire plug catcher and a true leader on my team. God's speed Marty!

I worked with Marty at Piedmont Natural Gas and he became my friend. He always put a front, but he had a big heart. I remember one morning that he rescued a small kitten that had gotten stuck in his truck. After freeing him, he held him up and then held him to his chest and said little fellow its all right. Rest in peace Marty.
