Mary Elizabeth Huff Hill, a resident of Thomasville, died on June 18, 2021, at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville, NC. She was born in Randolph County on December 25, 1928. Formally a life-long resident of High Point, she was the daughter of the late James Isaac Huff and the late Elizabeth “Lizzy” Reddick Huff.
Mary was a 1948 graduate of Allen Jay High School, where she excelled in sports as a member of the AJHS championship basketball team of 1946. She began her work career at Adams-Millis Hosiery Mill. Prior to her retirement, she co-owned, operated and was the treasurer for over 42 years for Hill Electronics in High Point. Mary was a keen crafter. She loved to travel and took pleasure in helping others.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford L. Hill; brothers, Paul and Jasper Huff, Melvin Huff, Thomas Huff and Dalford Huff; and sisters, Elva Riley, Nellie Garner and Mable Bratton.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Vickie Puckett (Alonza) of Maryland; her son, Rev. Barry L. Hill (Linda) of Kernersville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Donald and Travis Rickert of Maryland; Kelly Kellum (Greg); great-grandchild, Tanner Kellum of Stokesdale, North Carolina and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. The family will greet guests from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
