High Point - Mary Helen Williams passed away peacefully May 13, 2021 in the care of Hospice.
She will be remembered for her love of God whom she stayed steadfast and family that she never ceased to show kindness and support. In addition to her family, she served her communities participating and assuming leadership roles at Christ United Methodist Church in High Point, High Point Women’s club and Eastern Star. Those who knew Helen will miss her, but thank God for her life that was well lived.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann Thompson and Joseph Hurley Hughes. Also passing away previously, was her husband Lonnie (Bill) Williams, sisters Annie Haskins and Myrtle Pugh along with brother, Ray Hughes.
Helen is survived by son, Alan Arthur; step-daughters, Kay Gottula and Gwen Fletcher along with several nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest with a graveside service at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday May 22 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to Christ United Methodist Church, 405 N. Main Street, High Point, North Carolina.
