HIGH POINT – Mary Edith Auman Haynes, 93, died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her residence.
She was born May 14, 1927 in Guilford County and was the daughter of the late Delmar B. and Ollie Wall Auman. She retired from Tex-Elastic and was a member of Infusion Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lidal Clay Haynes, Sr.; two sisters, Annie Lee Tews and Juanita Morgan; three brothers, I.A. Auman, D.B. Auman and Junior Auman; and her granddog, Abby.
Edith is survived by her son, Lidal Clay Haynes, Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Trinity; two grandson, Keith Haynes (Kathy) and Chris Haynes, both of Archdale; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lessie Myers of Thomasville and Linda Peace of Archdale; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and neighbor, Joann Coltrane of Archdale.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Monday, May 3, 2021 at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale.
Graveside service celebrating Edith’s life will follow at 2:00 PM Monday at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ottis Collins officiating.
