TRINITY-Mary Lea “Peggy” White, 89, passed away peacefully at her home, on Monday, May 31, 2021.
She was born on December 30, 1931 in Guilford County, the daughter of the late David and Lela Davis Crisco. She and her late husband of 64 years, Curtis White, had owned and operated White’s Fast Foods in High Point for many years, until their retirement. Peggy enjoyed the outdoors; especially working in her flowers and vegetable garden, and in her early years, going to the beach; particularly Oak Island. Her true love and passion was spending time with her family and being outside, so she could admire her beautiful flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, preceding her in death were her brothers, Bobby and J.D. Crisco.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her sons, Terry W. White and his wife, Susan, of Trinity, Curtis W. White, Jr., and his wife, Martha, of Randleman, her brothers, Billy Crisco and his wife, Ruth, of Thomasville, Dennis Crisco and his wife, Bonnie, of Tupelo, MS. Also surviving are two grandchildren, 4 great children; one niece and three nephews.
A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held on Thursday afternoon, June 3, at 2 p.m., in the Mausoleum Chapel at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Roger Carmichael officiating. Her family will greet friends on Thursday, 30 minutes prior to the service, in the Mausoleum Chapel.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all her neighbors; especially Margaret Williams, Howard Hudson and George and Doris Rigaud, for their love and care shown to Peggy.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Peggy’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western North Carolina Chapter, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209.
