Mr. Michael Anthony Delgaudio, 66, resident of High Point, died November 10, 2018 at High Point Medical Center.
Michael was born September 2, 1952 in Cleveland, OH, a son to the late Virgil and Dolores Miller Delgaudio. He graduated from Ohio Dominican University and later moved to High Point where he worked at Henredon, beginning a career in furniture design that would span over 40 years. He also worked at many prominent furniture companies such as: Beacon Hill, Century, Boyles, Sherrill and lastly, Marge Carson, where he was their Creative Designer. Michael was a gifted designer who was passionate, not only about his craft but the future of the furniture industry, as evidenced by the many designers he mentored during his career. He also had a love for fishing, pottery, and vacations anywhere the sun was shining.
Surviving is his wife, Julie, of the residence; his “bonus” children, Kristin Patten and husband Austin of Denver, Colorado and Zach Walters and wife Nadja of San Diego, California; sisters, Mary Louise Bloser and husband Chris of Avon, Ohio and Virginia Reynolds and partner Jeff Perez of Seven Hills, Ohio; a brother, Bud Delgaudio and wife Cindy of Cleveland, Ohio; ten nieces, Janel, Victoria, Sharon, Melissa, Cheryl, Karen, Patty, Linda, Brenda and Darlene; a nephew, Gary; many grand nieces and nephews; and his dog, Parker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Edwin and Lydia Beam.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, in the Asbury Room at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in High Point. Services will be held at a later date in Ohio.
