Michael Lee Johnson

Michael Lee Johnson passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his residence. He was a good husband to Becky and a doting father to his daughter, Brooke. Mike worked for Guilford County as a computer programmer. He spoke fondly of his coworkers and all the fun times they shared. It is certain that they will miss him.

Mike volunteered and helped so many people. He was a very active member of the Lion's Club joining when he was just 16 years old. He developed and maintained the website at Archdale United Methodist Church and helped out with another church's website. Mike also kept the computer screens running at the church. Anyone could call on him and he was always ready to help. Many people will miss him.

He donated his eyes so a blind person can see. He donated his bones so a person with cancer can walk. He donated a heart valve and veins for children and infants. He donated his skin so someone with breast cancer can have reconstructive surgery, and more skin for a burn patient.

Mike was born in Winter Garden, Florida to C.H. and Betty Johnson. He is survived by his wife Becky of 27 years and daughter, Brooke, mother Betty and brothers, Bobby and Ben.

A memorial to celebrate Mike’s life will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Archdale United Methodist Church, 11543 North Main Street, Archdale, NC officiated by Reverend Allan Van Meter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. in the AUMC Fellowship Hall.
