Michele Star (DeLuca) Petty

High Point – Mrs. Michele Star DeLuca Petty, 67, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at her residence.

Born June 27, 1953, in Bronx, NY, Michele was the daughter of the late Mario Rocco DeLuca and Esther Nahoum DeLuca. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Micheal Petty, and her brother, Mario DeLuca, Jr. Michele worked as a Senior Housing Specialist for the High Point Housing Authority, and had worked there for the last 21 years.

Michele was a vibrant soul that lightened up a room. She was a true inspiration to everyone, and her caring for others will truly be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Misty Malanga, of East Windsor, NJ, and Melissa Myers, of Thomasville; four grandchildren, Tyler and Zachary Malanga, and Isabella and Izaac Myers; two sisters, Laura Johnson and Regina Clark; and three brothers, Albert DeLuca and wife, Denise, David DeLuca and wife, Donna, and Mark DeLuca.

The family will receive friends Monday night, September 28th, from 6 until 8 at Cloverdale Church of the Living God, in Archdale.
