Mrs. Naomi Driggers Floyd, 93, resident of Denton, died November 18, 2020 at her home.
She was born April 24, 1927 in Horry County, SC, a daughter to the late Walter and Mary Hodge Driggers. As a resident of this area most of her life, she worked in the textile industry and was a member of Lights for Christ Holiness Church in Denton. She loved going to revivals and worshipping God. She also loved fishing at High Rock and Baden Lake, traveling back to her home in Mullins, SC, and spending time with her family. Preceding her in death is her husband, J.D. Floyd in 2009; a daughter, Linda Leamon; six sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are six children, Juanita Hill, Mabel Blackburn, Lyvita Parson and husband Roy, Wendell Floyd and wife Terri, Wilma Longmire, and Crystal Floyd-France; a sister, Dorothy Miller; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 23, in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with Brother Alex Shelton officiating. Interment will follow the service at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
