Nick Smith Coltrane

Mr. Nickolas “Nick” Smith Coltrane, 19, resident of Archdale, died September 19, 2021 in Randolph County.

Nick was born March 21, 2002 in Guilford County and was a resident of this area all his life.  He was a graduate of Wheatmore High School where he played varsity soccer, and, following graduation, worked for Lamberts Cable Splicing Company in Asheboro.  Nick loved four wheelers and raced competitively in the N.E. EDT and the East Coast EDT racing series.  He also was a member of the Rage Soccer Club Team.

Surviving is his mother, Shannon LaDare Smith (Chris Williard) of High Point; father, Daniel Lee Coltrane (Michelle) of Colfax; brother, Braden Coltrane of High Point; grandparents, Charles Smith, Lana Smith, and Cynthia Pritchard; aunt, Sandi Slawitschka (Frank); uncle, Brandon Smith (Mandi); and four cousins, Sean, Jaren, Emma Kate, and Jack.  He was preceded in death by grandparents, Mary Cox Coltrane, Pauline Kiser, Neil Pritchard, Ray Pope, and Mary Pope; and uncle, Billy Joe Cox.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.  The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to the Rady Lady Foundation Inc. at www.RadyLady.com or through the mail to 1484 Allen Ct.
